Thomas Mikielski, 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Edinboro Manor. He was born on March 7, 1934. He was the son of the late Charles and JoAnne (Singer) Mikielski.
He is also proceeded in death by siblings Helen Pytlarz, Sophie Zukowski, Vicky Jones, Joseph and Charles Mikielski, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He will deeply be missed by devoted nieces May Ann Dutkin (children Denise, Todd, and Roger) and Mary (Jerry) Fiske (children Jon Michael and Jarrett). He is also survived by his special friend Betty.
Tommy lived most of his life with his loving sister Helen. His great pride was shining his antique Schwinn bicycle and riding around Erie, visiting his friends.
The family would like to thank the numerous people who cared for Tommy throughout his life, especially the Barber National Institute.
Viewing will be on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to the time of services at 10:30 a.m. at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2101 Ash St., followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial, at Calvary Cemetery, will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barber National Institute, 100 Barber Place, Erie, PA 16507.

I would like to extend my sympathy on the loss of Thomas. I don't know how we are related, but we must be because my mom was a Mikielski and grew up on E. 13th Street. I am guessing we are 3 rd cousins. Please accept my sympathy.

So sorry for your loss. Tom (and Helen) were great neighbors. Tom was always right there to shovel my walk for me, and was a great conversationalist.
