SOUTHBRIDGE - Cecile J. (St.Amant) Caouette, 92, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Her husband was the late Victor W. Caouette who died in 1976.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Belmore A. "Bill" St.Amant, and Jean Paul St.Amant, and 2 sisters Lillian Mondou, and Yvonne Denis.
Born in Chicopee, daughter of Hormidas and Emma (Theroux) St. Amant, and has lived here most of her life. She graduated from the former Notre Dame High School Class of 1940, and a member of Notre Dame Church. Mrs. Caouette worked as the parish secretary for 27 years, retiring in 2004, she was an active member of the church parish festival for many years, the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality, and St. Vincent de Paul Society. She previously worked for Swiacki Insurance & Real Estate for 35 years.
The funeral will be Monday, July 14, from Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge, with a Mass at 11AM at Notre Dame Church 446 Main Street Southbridge. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery N. Woodstock Road Southbridge. Calling hours will be held from 9-10:15AM at the funeral home prior to the mass. www.sansoucyfuneral.com
