Peter Olexson
March 29, 1925 – July 09, 2014
Peter passed away at Parkridge Center on Wednesday, July 09, 2014 at the age of 89. He is lovingly remembered by son Donald (Beverly) Olexson and daughter Barbara (Stanley) Ballard, grandchildren Robert (Engaged: Kolby Myers) and Leah Olexson, Dee, Clay, Nikki (Engaged: Craig Storbakken), and Markie (Austin) Siklenka and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Peter is survived by brothers Steve (Sylvia), Alex, Nick (Elsie), and Ed, and sisters Pauline, Helen, and Anne. He is predeceased by his wife Stella, parents William (Bill) and Wasylena (Bessie) Oleksyn, brothers John (JB) and Mike, and sister Marie (Mary). Peter worked for the Atlas coal mine as a young man in Drumheller Ab., and later on with Molson's Brewery (38 years) in Prince Albert and Regina. A Graveside Service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery (Warman Road and 33 St. East) on Monday July 14th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. (Site 100A at Northwest corner of Cemetery). A light lunch will be provided at Smiley's Restaurant (702 Circle Dr. East) at 2:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Parkridge Center Eastridge 2 (110 Gropper Cres.). Arrangements are entrusted to Acadia McKague's Funeral Centre.
