Dolores Brown, 90, Raytown, Mo., went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2014. A visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Missouri Funeral Care, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133, followed immediately by a graveside service at Floral Hills Cemetery. The family suggest memorial donations be made to Village Hospice. She worked as an assistant librarian for the Mid-Continent Library in Raytown for better than 15 years before her retirement. She enjoyed Travel and studying family genealogy. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin L. Brown in 1992, her parents, Ova and Nellie (Johnson) Brown, and a grandson, Craig Allen Brown. She is survived by her children, Michael (Brenda) Brown of Raytown, and Judy (Tim) DeGeorge of Lee's Summit, Mo.; two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mike, Judy, and families,
Your mother was such a kind soul. She spent countless hours with Ardith and me before Dad's passing and I will always appreciate that. I always enjoyed those 4th of July picnics even though I couldn't make it that often. I know that she is in a much better place and will be remembered as such a sweet, kind, and wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
