James Ellis Hutchins
Graveside services for James Ellis Hutchins, 83, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 28th, at the Leesville Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Monday, July 28th, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
James, the son of James and Estelle Hicks Hutchins, was born June 6, 1931, in Leesville. He passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Alexandria.
Mr. Hutchins served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Forest service after thirty years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Pesek.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Hutchins of Leesville; sons, James Hutchins and wife Bernice and Don Hutchins and wife Anita all of Virginia; daughters, Diane Warren and husband Jim of Leesville and Debra Pastore of Mandeville and grandchildren, Brandon and Elizabeth Warren, Meredith and Kush Asllani, Caitlin Hutchins, Ashleyjand Jimmy Fink, Jeremiah Hutchins, Gabriella Pastore and Shannon Hutchins.

Jimmy and I were classmates in school. We all loved him. I am so glad I visited him during Leesville High Homecoming weekend last fall. The last thing I said to him was, "If I don't see you anymore on this earth, I'll see you 'in the air' or 'up there'!" I will keep that promise, Jimmy, because I know Jesus!
