CATELOTTI, Elaine B. Of Laconia, NH, 92, formerly of Naples, FL, and Westbrook, CT, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2014, at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Laconia, NH. She was born in Hanover, NH, on December 21, 1921, the daughter of Vern and Grace (Cope) Badger. After graduating from Springfield Technical High School, she worked several years as a telephone operator for New England Telephone in Springfield MA, and volunteered many years at Marlborough Hospital. She lived in Agawam, MA, until 1970 and then in Marlborough, MA, until retiring to Naples and Westbrook in 1985. Elaine was a very caring and generous person who loved her family and friends. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality. Elaine loved to talk, laugh, and tell stories. She never missed an opportunity to "get up and dance". She enjoyed cooking, reading, deep sea fishing, gardening, traveling, and skiing. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Meehan and husband William of Vernon, CT, and three sons, Stephen and wife Shirley of Gilford, NH, William and wife Diane of Hubbardston, MA, and Vincent Jr. and wife Lynne of East Greenbush, NY. She also leaves nine grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, and a brother, Eugene Badger of Enfield, CT. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Vincent J. Catelotti, a son, John, a sister, Barbara Hickey, and her stepfather, Alex Palinckx. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 4, 2014; at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 823 Main Street, Agawam, MA, with burial to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield, MA. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Activity Fund, 406 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
