Mary L. Woods, 99
Mary L. Woods, 99, of Frankfort, IN, died August 8, 2014 at Wesley Manor at 11:33 p.m. Born July 7, 1915 in Clinton County, IN to Walter E. and Martha Frances (Williams) Whitinger. She married George T. Woods on October 23, 1937, and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1988. Mary graduated from Jackson Township High School and had been the manager of the Clinton County License Branch. She was a longtime member of the Antioch Church. She had volunteered as a Pink Lady, a member of the Clinton County Republicans and the Indiana Shorthorn Lassies. She also loved to read, and follow her grandchildren in 4H. She has attended every Clinton County Fair from its inception until 2012.
She is survived by, 2 granddaughters: Kelli (Husband Steve) Patton of Rural Frankfort, Jill (Husband Steve) Dillingham of McDonough, Georgia; 2 grandsons: Scott (Wife Aliesa) Woods of Barnard, Kansas, Aaron Woods of Hawaii; 5 great grandchildren: Kade and Karson Patton, Tayler, Sarah and Katie Dillingham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons Joseph Woods, Walter Thomas Woods, 2 sisters Ida Ruth Hawley, Marjorie Paul, and 4 brothers Sylvan, Floyd, Walter and Melville Whitinger.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12 noon-2 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2014. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Church Building Fund. Online condolences may be left at goodwinfuneralhome.com
