Nancy Mangano, 88, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2014. Nancy was born on January 1, 1926 to Pasquale and Maria Mangano in Mount Vernon, New York. She was a loving sister to Maria, Angelina, Ann, John, Sam, Carmine and Fiore and the cherished aunt of Patricia (Henry) Rondina, Paula Henry, Thomas (Maryanne) Mangano and Janet (Brian) Jennings. Her family was the center of her life, and she also enjoyed traveling and the arts, especially music. Nancy worked for the Franciscan Missions and in her later years was lovingly cared for by the staff at Cabrini Nursing Home. Her thoughtful, kind and gentle way will be remembered always. The family will receive friends at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Main St. Eastchester on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 2 to 7 PM. Requiem mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10 :30 AM. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nancy's memory may be made to Cabrini of Westchester or Calvary Hospital. You may leave the family an online condolence at www.westchesterfuneralhome.com.
