Mar 5, 1946 - Aug 20, 2014 Ricky passed away at a local hospital in Hamilton, AL, at the age of 68. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Paul L. Gurley and Margaret Clifton Gurley Bolack; his grandparents, Thomas L. & Julia Victoria Abel Gurley and William G. & Willie Sanford Clifton. He is survived by sisters, Lorrine G. Kimbrough of Trimble, Cullman County, Al, Barbara G. Hubbard of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Linda G. Harrell of Birmingham, AL; brothers, Dennis L. Gurley (Jean) of Warrior, AL and Royce L. Gurley (Kathleen) of Mt. Olive, AL; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:30am in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Al.

Rick I remember well the day you came home from the hospital. I was at Grandaddys shoe shop and could hardly wait to get home to see you. You took my place as the baby of the family and I forgive you for that. Rest in peace now fellow Air Force veteran, see you in heaven some day. Love.
