Arumugam Ramasubramaniam
AGE: 75 • Edison
Arumugam Ramasubramaniam, MD, 75, died Friday Aug. 22, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Dr. Ramasubramaniam was born in India and he resided in New York City, Newark and Secaucus, before moving to Edison in 2012. He graduated from Stanley Medical College in India in 1957. He was a Radiologist who worked at UMDNJ in Newark, the VA Hospital in Montrose NY, and finally in private practice in Clark before retiring in 2007. He was a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), a long standing contributor to the Christian Broadcasting Network, and a church Elder at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Newark where he was baptized September 29th,2001.
Surviving him are his wife of 44 years, Indira Ramasubramaniam; his children, Hamsakumari Ramasubramaniam and her husband Somasundaram Lakshmanan, Tanujakumari Ramasubramaniam, Nagarani Ramasubramaniam and her husband Scott Horvath; also 4 grandchildren, Bethany, JayaSai Lena, VijayaSai Rama, and Joshua.
Visitation Sunday Aug. 24, 2014 at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 202 Norman Rd, Newark, NJ from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by a funeral Service after visitation. Cremation Private. Arrangements are by the Gosselin Funeral Home Edison.
