Shannon R. Steelman, 44, of Penns Grove, NJ, passed away Thursday, August 21 at home. She was born in Woodbury, NJ on July 16th, 1970. Shannon grew up in Carneys Point, NJ and graduated from Penns Grove High School. She was a very compassionate soul; Shannon had a way of being there for anyone and everyone that needed her. She was an avid animal lover and would take in any creature that needed a home. She loved cooking meals for anyone and everyone that wanted to sit down and eat. Her pride and joy was being there for her family. Shannon is survived by her mother Linda Gealy and stepfather Bob Gealy, her father Louis H. Steelman, Jr. and stepmother Gale Steelman, grandmother Carrie Aldredge, her son James White, daughter Anne Steelman, daughter Lynne White, and loving fianc‚ Loren Saul, as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Shannon was predeceased by her grandfather William Aldredge, and grandparents Louis & Libby Steelman. Her wonderful spirit, joy and kindness will be celebrated with a memorial service on Thursday, September 11, 2014, 7:00pm at the ASHCRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 47 State St., Penns Grove. Shannon will be missed...She was such a bright happy carefree person that would go out of her way to always make sure other were ok in their time of need...I knew her since we were teenagers and did alot together...I will truly miss her and my condolences go out to Loren her soulmate and her family....You will always be love and missed RIP!
