Carpenter, Victor F. Jr.,
Victor F. Carpenter Jr., 81, of Marshfield, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital with his family by his side. A Private Mass will be held at a later date. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
Victor was born August 3, 1933, in Marshfield to Victor Sr. and Lucy (Geiger) Carpenter . He graduated from Spencer High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Victor proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War where he served in the Infantry.
On November 19, 1955 Victor was united in marriage to the love of his life Nelrose Oehler.
Victor was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc. for 38 years, retiring in 1988 as the shipping supervisor. Victor also owned Your Record Shop in Wisconsin Rapids.
He enjoyed travel, sports, reading gardening, and finance from his time as a Stock Broker. Those that knew him best will miss his warm spirit, his kind heart, and his love of history.
Victor is survived by his wife: Nelrose Carpenter; children: Donald (Linda) Carpenter, Jayne Jacobson ,Lori (John) Erickson, John (Kris) Carpenter, and Philip Carpenter; grandchildren: Amanda Senn, Nick (Rachel) Carpenter, Dustin (Amanda) Carpenter, and Erica Carpenter. He is further survived by 5 great-grandchildren; and siblings: William (Shirley) Carpenter, Lucille (Dr. Jim) Beery; Robert (Jennie) Carpenter, Floyd (Edna) Carpenter, Carol (Jim) Reid, Jonae (Jim) Waldhart, Janice (Donn) Mathias, and Connie Carpenter. Victor is preceded in death by his parents: Victor Sr. and Lucy, and brother Lloyd Carpenter.
Victor was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His earthly presence will be missed.
