Roger and family
My sister called to tell me the sad news that Vicki had died.
Frank and I discussed the last time we saw you and it would have been at Ft. Benning. I remember Vicki, so young, so pretty and I believe, expecting your first child. We are just so sorry. . . you have our sympathy. Frank and Sharon Stipech

Roger, Audrey, Kristen.
I met Vicki Lind around Christmas in 1958 shortly after she turned 12 years old in L'Anse. She was Kathy's younger sister whom I had just met at the L'Anse library. Over the next few years Vicki turned into a little sister in addition to my sisters Karen and Paulette.
When she started going with Roger when they were in the 9th grade. It was cinched. My family and Roger's family had been close. After Roger's dad, Olaf passed away when Roger was only 11 years old, he had become like a little brother to me.
Roger and Vicki were married in August 1968. Kathy was the matron of honor. Over the years, we had many visits, many good times and many memories as families growing up together.
Despite what has happened in our personal lives over the years, nothing can take away these wonderful memories. And particularly the young love Vicki and Roger had for each other. A love that has grown and lasted into eternity.
May God bless you and keep you. May God make his face shine upon you and give you peace. Amen.
Love, Bob Lytikainen.

Dear Roger and Family,
I was very saddened to hear of Vickis death! As an extended family member of Vicki,--There are many great memories of when we were young and living in the same area. The one and only plane trip in my life was with Vicki---memorable for sure! We were teenagers at that time and we went to visit our family "out east"... What a fun experience that was!.....My heart and prayers go out to all of you in this difficult time of grieving---which is different for each person that knew and loved Vicki...
Love, Paulette (Lytikainen) Heikkinen
