HARMSWORTH, Janet Thelma (nee Morton) Janet passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28th, after a long struggle with dementia, age 77. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leslie in July 2011, Janet is survived by her three sons Andrew (Nora), Robert (Joan), and David (Deb), and grandchildren Nathan, Jonathon, Miles, and Marie. Janet was born in Liverpool. After studying in England, she arrived in Regina in 1958 to teach, meeting and marrying Leslie in 1961. She spent many years teaching elementary school in Regina and in Victoria, before moving to Chemainus in 1993, a place she loved for the flowers, trees, birds and ocean. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road in Duncan. Condolences may be offered online at www.sandsduncan.ca
