ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Graveside services for James M. Goetz, 82, of Elk Grove Village for 54 years, will be Saturday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Born in Chicago, he passed away at his home on Sept. 7, 2014. James was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired 40-year employee of the Teletype Corp. He was the beloved husband of Martha R. (nee Bollin) for 56 years; loving father of James, Albert (Christine), Thomas (Catherine), Matthew, and Martha Marie (Mike) Gehrke; cherished grandfather of Alison, Elisabeth, Jens, Abe and Tate; son of the late John and Marie Goetz; brother of Timothy and the late John, Andrew, Albert, Margaret Ploche, Joan Sanders and Ruth Vickers. He also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Northwest Suburban Council.
