I met Marla in 1972 while we were both working for AEP. She was a wonderful friend and a wonderful person. I will miss our phone conversations, she would call me often or I would call her. I am in Florida and did not know until 9/16/14. I am so very sorry. I know she loved her family dearly.

I met Marla many years ago when she registered me for my mammogram at Mercy Hospital. We had an instant bond and looked forward to seeing each other every year. I am from Coshocton, so since she had family here in the county, we would talk about that. I also loved hearing about her children and she just beamed with pride. We also had a special bond as sisters in Christ! She said to me the first time we met that she could tell I was a Christian and that meant so much! And I knew right away that she was also! She always had Gods light shining bright and I know she is in Heaven walking with God now! I am so sorry for your loss, but I know God will give you the peace and strength you need each and every day! She was a very special lady!

We were so shocked by Marla's passing. The last time I saw her was in Dec. when I was sitting in the lobby of the hospital waiting for a ride home after being in a car accident. I was not feeling so good after breaking my patella. Marla walked by and saw me, she stopped and prayed for me and waited with me until my husband came. I appreciated that so much.

Dear Neal and Family,
I grieve with your family over your great loss. Marla ( well, I called her Marla Mae) enjoyed life and truly loved her family and her Lord! She was a prayer warrior and cared so much for everyone. She was the perfect person for the job she held at Mercy as she welcomed many people daily. Her warm smile showed how much she cared. And her laugh was so contagious!
I am sorry that I will no longer be able to say "Good Morning, Marla Mae" as I walk past her desk. I'm sure I will be saying it in my heart. I have no doubt that she now dances with our Lord in her new home. May God bless all of you as you remember how much she loves each one of you!
