I grew up knowing Paul who was a great friend of my Dad, Leo Williams. Paul was always in our home eating carrots for his eyesight. I thought he was the most interesting character sometimes jogging from Hilton to Hidenwood to stop in for a visit. He was the only genius I had ever met. You could almost see his brain churning out Einstein formulas and he read the stock market page of the newspaper like he understood it. I have to say...he was an amazing and brillant personality who we all thought was family! Later in life, I met Paul and his wife at a party at the Saltponds and I thought it was so cool that he hung out with the Hilton crowd! That was the last time I saw Paul and I wish he had given me some of his financial savvy in knowing how to make money in the market.

I trained Paul back in 99-2000 at Body Sculpting on J. Clyde Morris Blvd. I was a college sophomore at Norfolk State University who worked there while home for the summer. Paul was one of my favorite clients. He was smart, funny, and always left me with a bit of wisdom to take home. I admired him. He crossed my mind today out of the blue and I googled him to find his obituary....it was heart breaking. My love and condolences to his wife and children. Rest in Peace Paul.

Paul was the best friend of my youth and I will mourn his passing. His parents, Tuny and particularly Courtney, welcomed me into their lives and homes as Paul's friend. Paul will be missed.

Paul held the time slot before me at the gym on Monday evenings. He would tease me about my VT Hokies, and I would tease him about his outdated "sock" ties. He is the only person I ever heard at the gym ask for more weight and reps. I missed him when he recently had to take some time away from the gym, but I always looked forward to his return. I am sad to know that he won't be returning. He was very proud of his children and spoke often of them. Peace and blessings to his family.

Paul was the only genius I ever knew personally. We had many fascinating conversations in his early years. When he was going to college he was not only brilliant, but had true character. He was a pronounced contrarian who seemed to always find the best solution to a problem. He was unique! Our community has lost a very important personality.

Paul and my dad were the best of friends. I remember Paul taking me for a ride in his convertible when I was a toddler. A ride I will never forget.

All, there are no words that can express the sadness we each feel in our hearts. Paul was a wonderful man, great father and my children had great respect for him. We are all better people for having Paul in our lives.

Wendy, Stone, Jeb and Courtney,
Although I didn't know Paul that well, I can tell by the woman he married, the children he helped raise and the stories I've heard he must have been a very good man. I am so very sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers.
Sincerely,
