WOOD, Norma Jean age 86 of Middletown, passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born June 30, 1928 in Middletown, Ohio the daughter of Albert Emerson Bellamy and Evalena (Ferguson) Bellamy. She graduated from Middletown Senior High School and Middletown Business College. Norma Jean worked at Cincinnati Bell and Leo's before becoming a homemaker, raising their four children. After her children were raised, she worked at Central Pastry for five years and then Milton's Donut Shop for 21 years. She is survived by her children, David M. Wood of Middletown, Thomas J. (wife, Debbie) Wood of Connersville, Indiana, Barbara S. (husband, James) Hollister of Hamilton, and Dianne (husband, Mike) Etter of Monroe; sister, Donna Marie Wallace of Columbus, Ohio; a sister in law, Maxine Bellamy; 20 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Norma Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Wood; a brother, Albert D. Bellamy; two granddaughters, Angela Boughner and Rebecca Hughes; and her best friend and companion, her beagle, Jason. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Omer Hurlburt III, for his compassionate care and medical services, Dr. Albert Malcolm for his 8 years of Oncology care, and Dr. William Krall for his attentiveness to end of life needs and medical care, the staff of 4 West, Atrium Medical Center, the staff of Hospice of Cincinnati, Hamilton, and special friend and neighbor, Peggy Lee Miller. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Breitenbach McCoy Leffler Funeral Home (517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown) with Major Sebastian Leonardi officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time on Tuesday. The committal service will be at the Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, Hamilton, 5050 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013, or PAWS on St. Route 63 in Monroe, Ohio.
