Jack was a very generous man and true friend. After my dad passed away, Jack and Shirley always invited my mom to spend time with them which included going out for meals, taking trips, and sharing time at their home. Often my mom has expressed how grateful she was for their friendship and for Jack's generosity. My heartfelt condolences to the family of a good man.

Jack Weiss (along with his wife, Shirley) was a stalwart supporter of Abington Township and his death will be a loss not only to his family and all of us who considered him a friend, but also to all of Abington. In addition, Jack's commitment to our Police Athletic League (PAL) -- like his commitment to all of the children in Abington -- was unwavering and, on behalf of all of those children, I send our sincerest thanks and respect. Today is truly a day of mourning in our community.
Bill Kelly, Abington Township Chief of Police
