Oma Ellard Obituary

The funeral service for Oma Ellard, 82, of Arab, Ala., formerly of Ohio, will be held noon on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Cullman, Ala., with Pastor Scott Sessions officiating.

The interment will be in the Brookwood Cemetery in Arab, Ala.

Mrs. Ellard passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1932.

Survivors include a son, Willis Blaine (Alice) McHenry; three daughters, Cathy Sue (Tommy) Pope, Sherry Lavonne McElroy and Annora Jean (Bryan) Gober; a brother, Harold Murphy; three sisters, Rose Murphy Ott, Shirley Murphy and Tricia Murphy; 12 grandchildren, Robbie Jenkins, Angie Beasley, Eddie Jenkins, Jamie Jenkins, Dana King, Erica Haller, David Gray, Cody McElroy, Tyler McElroy, Patience Smith, Shannon Lewis and Zack Lewis; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clint Ellard; a daughter, Linda Jenkins; and four brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cullman Funeral Home, 461 U.S. Highway 278 East, Cullman, Ala.
