Mrs. Trudell Brock Worthington, age 88, of Vernon, passed away Sept. 25, 2014 at her home. She was born March 9, 1926 in Vernon, to the late Samuel Gadiah Brock and Sarah Comella Hall Brock.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Worthington was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Worthington; one son, Gregory Worthington; one sister, Blondell Brock Smith and three brothers, Raz Brock, Donnie Brock and Willard Brock.
Mrs. Worthington is survived by one daughter, Marva Nell Ciaravella and husband Sal of Tampa; two sons, Dennis Worthington and wife Evon of Vernon and Dwight Worthington and wife Mary of Vernon; seven grandchildren, David Campbell, Jeanine Kolmetz, Reggie Worthington, Heather Wells, Matthew Brown, Philip Brown and Ashley Restor; 13 great-grandchildren, Cody Betts, Dakota Betts, Ashley Campbell, BJ Restor, Hannah Restor, Travis Restor, Karson Worthington, Aubrey Worthington, Rachel Kolmetz, Kaitlyn Kolmetz, Cole Wells, Dylan Wells and Gabriel Brown.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday at Peel Funeral Home Vernon Chapel.
