Mary F. (Halnan) McKinney of Weymouth, died September 27, 2014. Mary was a graduate of Fisher College and worked for "the phone company" in her early years. She retired as a branch manager for the Rockland Federal Credit Union. Mary was a longtime greeter at St. Francis Xavier Parish in South Weymouth. She enjoyed golfing with her sister and was lucky enough to have once scored a hole-in-one. Mary's family sincerely thanks the staff at Southwood at Norwell Nursing Home and the compassionate people at Beacon Hospice for their care. Beloved wife of the late William McKinney and former wife of the late Louis Wells. Devoted mother of John Wells and his wife Mary of OR, Louis Wells and his wife Margaret of Weymouth and Chris Wells and his wife Lisa of Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her parents Richard and Anne Halnan, her brother John Halnan and sister Ann Resendes. Also survived by a niece, two nephews and many extended family members including the McKinney family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 5 - 8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 9:30 a.m. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
