HINCHLIFF, SCOTT PETER Scott Peter Hinchliff, 33, of Nome, Alaska passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of September 30, 2014. A longtime resident of Hamden, Connecticut, Scott was born on October 17, 1980, graduated from Hamden High School in 1998, and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University in 2002. Scott was employed by Kawerak as a Regional Grants Specialist at the time of his passing. An avid sports fan, a lover of classic rock, a movie connoisseur, and a history buff, Scott will be dearly missed by his family and his friends. The beloved son of Peter and Patricia (Lekas) Hinchliff of Hamden, Scott leaves his parents, his sisters, Allison Rosenberg & her husband Gabe of Hamden, Stephanie Barrett & her husband Michael of Cheshire; cherished nieces and nephews, Lily, William, Thomas, & Mitchell; and many aunts and uncles. Friends are invited to visit with Scott’s family on Friday, October 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 400 Ridge Rd, Hamden, Connecticut, followed by a burial in Centerville Cemetery. A “Celebration of Life” will take place in Nome, Alaska at Old Saint Joe’s at 5:30 PM on Thursday, October 9th.
