Dolores M. Regan
AGE: 82 • Montville
Dolores M. (Dillon) Regan, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her home in Montville. Born in Newark, NJ on March 6, 1932, daughter of the late Martin T. and Helen Dillon, she was raised in Livingston and lived in Whippany before moving to Montville in 1967. Dolores attended Mount Saint Dominic High School in Caldwell, NJ and Chestnut Hill College, PA, where she earned a Chemistry degree. She had been a chemist with Bell Labs in Murray Hill before raising her family. Later, she was a teacher in the Montville school system for 25 years retiring in 1997. Dolores and her husband Bill were charter members of the Lake Valhalla Swim and Tennis Club where they spent many enjoyable summers with their family. Dolores was a lifelong athlete, excelling in basketball, tennis, and golf, and she always looked forward to playing sports with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Martin Dillon, and is survived by her husband of 55 years, William F. Regan, Jr.; her 5 children, Peggy (David) Picklesimer, Bill (Amy) Regan, Tom (Rose Mary) Regan, John (Sue) Regan, and Mary Pat (Craig) Paris; and her 12 grandchildren, Kevin, Karen, Mike, Jenny, Sean, Liam, Catherine, Dillon, James, Shannon, Caitlin, and Regan. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Anna and KC, for their excellent and loving support.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, Oct. 10, 2-4 & 7-9pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Rd., Lake Hiawatha (973-335-4700). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 11, 10:00am at St. Pius X R.C. Church, 24 Changebridge Rd., Montville. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
