I'm at a loss for word for once! Dan and I were college buddies and room mates. We spent many times together playing guitar, singing duets, giving each other a boost, and laughing heartily. I will miss him, but the world will miss him more.

Sad to read of the passing of "Danny" Nichols. He was a high school friend and our Xavier soccer team goalkeeper.

Dan and I crossed paths as brand-new freshmen at a brand-new high school called Xavier in early September of 1963. I knew he had a rock / roll band
and was thrilled when he asked me if I wanted to join. Danny on guitar, Jerry Kosicki on guitar, Gerald Mendello on drums, Larry Nocera on sax, myself on keyboards, none of us singers! But we had a great time; The Beatles never knew how close our group ( The Devil's Disciples ) came to removing them from the top of the charts. I enjoyed having Danny as a friend, a fellow musician, and a soccer teammate as well. I saw him for the last time during the 45th reunion for our 1967 Xavier class two years ago. I will hold that very positive memory of seeing him after a lapse of many years extremely close to my heart.

After Dan's wife, family and friends, his " real " love was music. An accomplished musician, singer and song writer life long. He inspired and encouraged my son to accomplish what he has today as a serious concert violinist. We will both miss Dan every day. RIP
