Jack, being passionate, was never one to do things halfway. He threw himself into antique car racing with abandon.
My first memory of Jack was of him standing beside the Lebanon speedway intently watching other drivers slide through the turns. He had generously loaned me tools to work on my ailing car.
At Cottage Grove his driving was so good he would lap the other cars. Spectators ran down to the pits and tried to buy his car.
Jack was a kind and friendly man. It was nice to simply be around Jack, he made my car safer and better with his astute advice.

Although I came to know Jack later in his life he was a man who immediately touched my life with his humor and joy, and his love of his wife Bev.
I was amazed by the stories he told and the experiences he shared. I could see Jack was a man who lived his life to the fullest everyday.
I am sure his family will miss him greatly, but I am glad they were able to have Jack in their lives as long as they did. Jack touched my life, albeit briefly, and I am glad for it.
Hugs to you Bev and Family.
