Henry J. Grimard
1932 - 2014
LOWELL -- Henry J. "Bob" "Sport" Grimard, 82, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Friday, October 17, 2014, at Lowell General Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Margaret "Margie" (Lannan) (Kendall) Grimard, with whom he would have celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on November 21st.
Born in Lowell on March 12, 1932, he was a son of the late Edgar and Alice (Chartier) Grimard.
Prior to his retirement, Bob was employed by the Holt and Bugbee Company Lumber Yard in Tewksbury, as a materials handler. He had been previously employed by the Boston and Maine Railroad for 10 years.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, and life member of the East End Club.
Bob enjoyed his early morning walks throughout the Centralville neighborhood.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons, Henry R. Grimard and his wife, Deborah of Pelham, NH, Michael A. Kendall, Sr. of Nashua, NH, and Kenneth W. Kendall of Lowell; three daughters, Susan Grimard of Lowell, Deborah Jamer and her husband, Jack of Salem, NH, and Donna Rose Pender and her husband, Michael of Lowell; a sister, Irene Metivier of Lowell;
15 grandchildren, among whom are his buddy, Shaughn Pender and Elizabeth Kendall; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late James F. Kendall and brother of the late Arthur, Victor and Roland "Joe" Grimard, Florida Latour and Dorelda "Blackie" Ducharme.
GRIMARD -- Relatives and friends are invited to Bob's Life Celebration on Tuesday morning from 9 until 11 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street.
