Holmes, Stephen P. 81, of Falmouth passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline R. (Rock) Holmes for 53 years. Born in Newton, the son of the late Reginald and Selma (Johnson) Holmes. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Stephen P. Holmes, Jr. & partner Richard Keegan of Bourne, Susanne M. Holmes and husband David Ferzoco of W. Newton, and Kevin M. Holmes and wife Marianne of E. Falmouth; his grandchildren: Tyler Holmes, Zachary Franklin, and Nick and Lisa Ferzoco; his brother, Philip R. Holmes and wife Marla of Pocasset; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 1:00 – 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 26th in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, FALMOUTH CENTER. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 27th in the St. Anthony's Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy. (Route 28) E. Falmouth. Burial will follow in the St. Anthony's Cemetery, E. Falmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stephen's memory to: Senior Citizens Fund of Newton, 345 Walnut St, Newtonville MA 02460. Sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I worked with Steve for many years when he was a Commissioner for the Licensing Department.
