Kevin Keane Obituary

Kevin B. Keane 74, of Natick and North Conway NH died Sunday November 16, 2014 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland Maine. He was the beloved husband and best friend of the late Brenda Weilandt Keane who died in 2010. Born in Natick he was the son of the late Michael and Clara (Lane) Keane. Mr. Keane was a Firefighter for the Natick Fire Department from 1962 to 1989. Kevin was known for his generous and kind nature making friends easily where ever he went .He loved the mountains, adored his grandchildren, enjoyed golf and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. He spent the last few years in the North Conway area, enjoying potlucks and dinners out with his friends from Priscilla Restaurant. Kevin attended St. Patrick Grammar School in Natick and was a graduate of Natick High School class of 1959 where he excelled as member the football team. Mr. Keane was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of the Natick Lodge of Elks. He is survived by one daughter Kerry (Keane) Conway and her husband Daniel of Hamilton MA, one son Barry K. Keane and his wife Naoko of VA, he was loving Grandpa to Sean, Keegan, and Brenden Keane of Virginia, Marissa, Erica, and Leah Conway of Hamilton, also survived by four sisters Mary Vacaro of Blackstone, Margaret White and her husband Joseph of Blackstone, Patricia Rocheleau of Uxbridge, Kathleen Behenna of Ham Lake MN, one brother Patrick J. Keane and his wife Maggie of Largo FL, also survived by many dear friends, nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Attorney Francis M. Keane, and uncle of the late Stacey Keane Burns. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday November 22, at 11:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patricks Church at 12:00 Noon. Visiting hours are Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Natick Firefighter Relief Association, 22 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760.
