GORDON, Alice M. (Hurley) 97, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday November 23, 2014 at the Applewood Rehabilitation Center in Winchester N.H. She was the beloved wife of the late Brenton S. Gordon who died in 1966 and mother of the late Ellen Gordon Rosier who died in 1993. A resident of Natick for 45 years she was born in Everett MA, the daughter of the late Francis and Annette (McCarthy) Hurley. Mrs. Gordon was the dedicated Parish Secretary at St Patrick's in Natick for 18 years and was later the Secretary in the Development Office and then to the Presidents of Wellesley College retiring in 1992 at the age of 75. She was an avid golfer for 47 years, and was very proud of her "hole in one" on the 8th hole at the former Sherwood Country Club in Natick. She retired her clubs at age 86 while a member of Nehoiden Golf Club in Wellesley. She is survived by three daughters Martha Guillette and her husband Raymond of Attleboro MA, Mary Mello of Northfield MA, Ann Walsh and her husband Robert of Sterling MA, two sons, Brent Gordon and his wife Ellen of Sanford NC, Bruce Gordon and his wife Pamela of Marstons Mills MA, son in law Ronald C. Rosier of Columbia MD, sisters in law Eileen Hurley of Merrimac MA, Dolores Hurley of Cheektowaga NY, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother in law of the late August Mello, sister of the late Donald Hurley, William Hurley, and Francis Hurley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday December 2 beginning at 9:00 A.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at NATICK COMMON, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick's Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
