STEIN PAUL
Age 96, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away with his family by his side on November 24, 2014. Son of the late Leo and Antonia (Gibkens) Stein of Cologne, Germany; loving husband of Edith G. (Goodman) Stein; beloved father of Audrey Higbee of Granby, MA and Bobbie (Robert) Salthouse of South Hadley, MA; grandfather of Ben Salthouse of San Francisco, CA. Paul was a WWII Army veteran and served in the 1st division on D-Day as a combatant and intelligence officer. He worked as a Sales Representative in Industrial Textiles for over 45 years. Not only was Paul always smiling but he was genuine and friendly, with many loyal friendships. He supported a number of progressive, social and political causes and was a proud supporter of the Arts. Friends welcome Friday 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. Service 12 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Center for Human Development, 332 Birnie Ave., Springfield, MA 01107 or Temple Emanuel of South Hills, 1250 Bower Hill Rd., Mt. Lebanon, PA 15243.
