BURLINGTON - Mrs. Della E. Smith, 68, of Burlington, passed away at 10:15 AM, Friday, December 5, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after declining health.
A native of Gaffney, SC, she was wife of the late James Wilson Smith and daughter of the late Graham Edward Jolly and Alice Sparks Jolly Simpson. She was a retired bookkeeper with John Link Trucking and a member of the First Baptist Church of Haw River.
Surviving are a daughter, Dawn Westmoreland and husband Jim of the home; a son, Shawn Smith and wife Beth of Burlington; two grandchildren, Kelby Smith and Kentley Smith; and a sister, Alice Holliman of Alabama.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 8, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Rev. Don Pegg officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM, prior to the service.
