1917 - 2014 WILLIAMSTOWN Mrs. Celeste Frances (Fanny) Niece, 97 of 58 Orchard Lane, died Tuesday Dec. 9, at Sweetbrook Care Center. She was born in North Adams, on Oct. 13, 1917, daughter of Samuel and Frances (Mazzato) Famia. She attended the Drury High School. Celeste was first employed by the Gale Shoe Co. She then worked at Sprague Electric Co. for 31 years until her retirement in 1979. She and her husband moved to Williamstown in 1952. She liked cats. She was the widow of Stanley Joseph Niece who died on Oct. 5, 2004. They were married on July 8, 1939. Survivors include nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews including, Lawrence Williams, Nancy English, Angelina Bradley, Frank Lampiasi, Ronald Catelotti, Richard Catelotti, Terri English-Murach, Lance English, Darrell English, Michael Bradley, Michael Williams, Stephen Williams, and Terri Ferrelli. She was pre-deceased by her four sisters including, Olympia Catelotti, Mary Quinn, Arvilla Williams, and Rose Lampiasi. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. There are no calling hours.
