June 22, 1927 - Dec. 7, 2014 Mother Mattie Bell Dickinson a life long resident of Mobile, Al was preceded in death by both parents Mr. James and Mary Carter three sisters Viola (Jackson) Bryant, Hazel (Ike) Pettaway, Willie Mae (Howard) Pickens, three son- in-laws, Emmanuel Hollins, Samuel Hollins, and Wiley Reaveses. Her memories will be cherished by her devoted husband for over forty-eight years Bishop Joseph R. Dickinson, Sr. eleven children, nine daughters and two sons, Shirley Hollins, James (Sadie) Pleasure, Josephine Dickinson, Doris Reaveses, Janice (Louis) Parson, Margaret Pettaway, Lillie (Ronald) Carswell, Lydia Calhoun, Joseph Dickinson, Jr., Linda (Carl) Newsome, Julia (Jerry) Porter, twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, one great great grandchild a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sat. Dec. 13, 2014 from 9-1 p.m. funeral hour from the APH Church of God 1710 Bolden St. Interment Lawn Haven Cemetery.

Bless that wonderful name of Jesus as she would so eloquently sing. We will all miss her here on earth, but I know she is greatly rejoicing walking the streets of gold. She is dancing again. Another angel has gotten her wings. We are praying that God strengthens each of you during this transition. Love you all. Sis. Keyia & family
