Dolores Geolat
Dolores Teresa Geolat, nee Schindler, 86, of Belleville, Ill., born Aug. 21, 1928, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Dolores was a lifelong member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill. In her early 20's she was employed for John Deere Co. as a bookkeeper. She and her husband Norman were the owners of Geolat Auction Co., Belleville, Ill. She was a very gentle person, who was known for her devout faith, generosity and unselfish way. More than anything, Dolores enjoyed being with and caring for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Clara, nee Amann, Schindler; brothers, Msgr. Clement Schindler, Fred (Florence) Schindler, and Raymond (Mildred and Alma) Schindler; sisters, Loretta (Joseph) Witt, Mildred (Joseph) Reeb and Dorothy Christophe; sister-in-law, Margaret Schindler; and brothers-in-law, Frank and Bernard Geolat.
Surviving are her husband, Norman J. Geolat, whom she married on May 29, 1954, at St. Teresa Church in Belleville, Ill.; her children, Mary (Michael) Aimerito of St. Louis, Mo., Barbara (Kenneth) Pajares of Belleville, Ill., Thomas (Debra) Geolat of Monument, Colo., and Michael (Susan) Geolat of Belleville, Ill.; grandchildren, James Pajares, John (Sara) Pajares, Anna Pajares, Nicholas Geolat, Sarah Geolat, Brian Geolat and Maggie Geolat; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Lillie and Levi Pajares; brother, Joseph Schindler; brothers-in-law, Paul Jean Christophe and Joe (Borg) Geolat; and sisters-in-law, Janice Geolat and Joan Geolat.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at the church with Father Eugene Neff officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.

Norm, Mary,Barb, Tom and Mike, Words cannot even express the way I felt about your wife, and mother. She touched my heart in ways that only Heaven will record. It was truly my pleasure to be one of her caretakers. She will be sorely missed by me in a very personal way.
