Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Roberta "Bobbie" J. Eberhardt, age 78, who passed away Wednesday at Quiet Oaks Hospice in St. Augusta. Rev. Mark Innocenti will officiate and burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.
Roberta "Bobbie" Eberhardt was born Aug. 14, 1936 in Thief River Falls to Harold & Harriet (Dunton) Travnicek. She married David Eberhardt on June 28, 1958 in Graceville. Bobbie worked as a nurse at the St. Cloud Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed camping, fishing, trips to the casino, spending time with her great grandchildren, traveling with friends, and spending winters in Arizona. Bobbie loved to play all types of games from Yahtzee to Bridge. She was a spunky, in charge, feisty woman who was passionate about politics.
Survivors include her husband, David of St. Cloud; daughters, Gayle (Mark) Howard of St. Cloud and Carol (David) May of Holdingford; brother, Thomas (Helen) Travnicek of Orange Park, FL; grandchildren, Chris Sanborn, Erin Welsh, Brett Howard, and Jesse Weaver; and great grandchildren, Sydney Sanborn, Montgomery Sanborn, Owen Weaver, and Vivienne Welsh. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kelly; and sister, Susan Rookey.
