Helen Anna Six Feb. 4, 1919 - Dec. 18, 2014 LAKEVILLE - Helen Anna Six, 95 years old, passed away at 10:48 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth. Helen was born on February 4, 1919 in Lakeville to the late John Edgar and Alice Elzina (Steele) Olinger. She has lived most of her life in Lakeville. On October 21, 1939 in North Liberty, she was united in marriage to Harold Rowe who preceded her in death on October 22, 1949. On February 12, 1954 in North Liberty, she married Ralph W. Six who passed away on September 27, 1983. One sister, Katherine Root, and four brothers, Lauren, Homer, Paul and Donald Olinger, all preceded their sister in death. Helen was a homemaker and a great mother. She was a 1937 graduate of North Liberty High School, a member of the Lakeville United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. Helen was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lakeville Chapter 579 and a past member of the Lakeville Lions Club. She had a lot of friends and lived a full life donating her time and talents. Helen is survived by her three daughters, Jeanette (Dennis Boschee) Sheneman of Plymouth, Carolyn Tanner of Plymouth, and Liz Rowe of Mishawaka; two sons, Fred (Chris) Rowe of Lakeville, and Wayne (Marsha) Six of Newport News, VA; eight grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville. Rev. Steve VanHouten, pastor of Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Helen Anna Six may be donated to Lakeville Lions Club, P.O. Box 506, Lakeville, IN 46536 or to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
