Wilma J. Chestnut, 69, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Conway Medical Center. She was born March 5, 1945 in Rudy, Arkansas, a daughter of Martha Elizabeth Tune Price and the late Clyde LC Tune.
In addition to her father she was also predeceased by her husband, Jennings Chestnut Sr.
Ms. Wilma was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all she knew. Ms. Chestnut loved her grandchildren very much and will be forever known as Mamaw. Ms. Chestnut was the co-owner and operator of the Chestnut Mandolins of Conway for twenty five years. Mr. and Mrs. Chestnut were founders of the Blue Grass on the Waccamaw. She was always willing to give and help others before herself.
In addition to her mother, Martha Elizabeth Tune Price of Rudy Arkansas, Ms. Chestnut is survived by three sons, Lee Sill (Tamela), Dwayne Chestnut and Jennings Chestnut Jr. (Linda); two daughters, Ginger L. Campbell (Dayton) and Theresa Anderson; two brothers, H.L. Tune and Cleo Tune (Cindy); three sisters, Beth Acosta, Renda Tedford (Jerry) and Sherry Smith (Gary); twenty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 23rd at Watson Funeral Services.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Watson Funeral Services.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Liberty Mall, 5300 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
