Rosa Pappadakis passed away on December 17, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Freising, Germany on November 28, 1924. Beloved wife of Constantine (Pappy) Pappadakis. Daughter of Josef and Afra Klebl and step-daughter of Anna Klebl, whom predeceased her.
Loving mother of 4, Grandmother of 13 and Great Grandmother of 3. Daughter, Ulrike Green of Birmingham, AL - mother of Christopher Green, Hollie Green White - wife of Justin White, Jay Green, Elena Green and Andrew Green. Daughter, Helen Rose Clark of St. Petersburg, FL - mother of Zachary Clark. Daughter, Patrice Yamato - wife of Les Yamato of Fleming Island, FL - mother of Alexander and Andrea Rose Kaelin and step-mother of Alexander Yamato. Son, John Pappadakis - husband of Vicki Pappadakis of Colorado Springs, CO - father of Tiffany Pappadakis, (mother of Genesis and Abigail Pappadakis), Jessica and Lauren Williams and Keith Burleson (father of Allyssa Burleson).
Rose was passionately devoted to her family and her grandchildren. She was a patron of the arts, a talented painter, an avid reader and music lover. Meeting her future husband while he was stationed in Germany, they married July 7, 1955 and spent the next 27 years moving to several air bases throughout the world to include, 8 years in both Germany and Florida and moving to Colorado in the mid 70's where they settled. As the wife of an Air Force Officer, she chose to focus on raising her 4 children, whom she loved deeply and to support her husband's career in the military. Once he retired from the Air Force in 1980, they opened Pappy's Golf Shop in 1984.
She served her community in countless philanthropic endeavors including Air Force wives club and PTA. She and her husband faithfully raised their family and traveled the world. She brought a special energy, joy, laughter, and love to all with whom she came in contact. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, December 23rd at The Springs Funeral Services followed by her graveside service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
