Robert Whitworth Curry, 73, resident of Bartlesville, died Thursday December 25, in Bartlesville.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday December 29, 2014 at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Biasiadecki and Rev. Tom Cox of the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville officiating. Interment will be in the Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Texas under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to the Building or Music Fund c/o First Baptist Church P.O. Box 1080 Bartlesville OK. 74005.
Mr. Curry was born January 17, 1941 at Ft. Worth, Texas to E. C. and Jettie Ruth (Whitworth) Curry. He was raised and educated in Arlington, Texas graduating from Arlington High School. Mr, Curry was employed by the City of Bartlesville for several years, and then later for the Homeland Grocery on Frank Phillips Blvd. as a store employee for 12 years, until he retired in the early 1990's. He was married to Carol I. Titterington on October 19, 1989 at Bartlesville Oklahoma. He enjoyed reading history of the West, and family genealogy in later years.
Mr. Curry is survived by his wife Carol of the Home and by one sister, Patricia Hess and husband Delbert of Fairhope, Alabama, by two Grandchildren, James Dean Kanke and David Curry both of Wynona, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two sons, John Steven Curry as an infant, and Julie Jolene Curry.
