Funeral service for Mr. Bennie Rudolph Entrekin, 86, will be today, December 28, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Garry Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Entrekin died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab. He is survived by five daughters, Mary Jo Grimes and her husband Doc, of Piedmont, Kathy Hughes and her husband Greg, of Anniston, Patricia "Pat" Williamson and her husband Gary, of Jacksonville, Lisa Herod and her husband Ken, of Fayetteville, Ga. and Tonyia Raven and her husband Al, of Jacksonville; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Entrekin was a Baptist by faith and in his spare time he enjoyed farming. His specialty was watermelons and he was known for planting, harvesting and selling some of the best. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Entrekin was preceded in death by his wife, Gertie Knight Entrekin; one granddaughter, April Hazel; three brothers, Curtis, Herschel and Billy Joe Entrekin; one sister, Hazel Gibson and his parents, J.B. and Cenda Brown Entrekin. We are so sorry to hear about the loss of you Dad! I'm sure he will be greatly missed! We are praying for all of you and we are so sorry that we couldn't make it to the services. God Bless Y'all in your time of loss. Cherish every memory and every picture! We love you all.
