Joel, Marcy, Amy & Families, I just heard about your mother's death and am very sorry. Joel, I remember when you brought her to the last Franke Family Reunion in Louisville. She really seemed to enjoy it. I so enjoyed seeing the pictures - Uncle Hans, Aunt Evelyn and all your families. I was the flower girl at their wedding. I think the one picture was of the church in Cedar Creek. So many memories. thank you for sharing those. Your mom's cousin, Janice McKinney Carnes

Marcie, Joel, Amy and families:
So sorry to read of your Mother's passing. We have had nice visits over the years while she was a resident @ Millpond.
I remember her from parent teacher conferences and back to school nights @ Neveln Jr. High also. She always wanted her kids to do their best.
I also worked with her @ DMACC after she left teaching @ the Methodist Church Preschool. She was very good with our students---many were unsure of their futures and had many questions. She would refer them to the counselors and advisors if there were questions she could not answer but she was always learning and after a time could do some advising herself.
I know this is a difficult time for all of you-----as time passes the memories will become a comfort to you.
With Love, Caring and HUGS.

I have many fond memories of your mother especially from our earlier years in the church. We worked together in Woman's Fellowship, church school and Harvest Home Dinner. She was a very thoughtful and caring woman. One of my fond memories is when your family led the Advent Candle lighting and you, Joel, shared thoughts around the wise men and the star. I think you were in high school at that time. Joan and your father were deligent and dedicated servants in our midst. Pat and Walt Kreimeyer, (Ankeny UCC)
