Dolores V. Smith WOMELSDORF Dolores V. "Dolly" Smith, 76, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of James L. "Jim" Smith with whom she shared 30 years of marriage on August 18, 2014. Born in Wernersville, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Mary Ann (Snyder) Moore. She was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. She retired in 1995, after 30 years with the Wernersville State Hospital, having previously worked at Holidaysburg State Hospital. She was a member of the "Anything but Old" Club, Robesonia, and enjoyed playing bingo. She was very active in the community and continued to stay active after being diagnosed with cancer three and a half years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play sports. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tammy L., wife of Jeffrey P. Weaver of Indiana; a son, Thomas R. Gibson, companion of Tracey of Huntingdon; a brother, Paul Moore of Womelsdorf; a sister, Shirley Ressler of Wernersville; two grandchildren, Dylan J. and Logan K. Weaver; a brother-in-law, Robert Smith; and her favorite buddy, Rocket. She was preceded in death by five brothers, and two sisters. A viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, January 12, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508. Online condolences may be made at www.lammandwitman.com

Dolly was an awesome woman! I've known her a long time since my mom and she were friends. She will be missed a lot. RIP Dolly!

To the Children of Dolly. She was/is a truly Best Friend. I will forever hold her dear to my heart. We've been close for decades and will remain that way forever. She was a GREAT person. I thank her for serving our Country.
