News Death Notice
GOLDSTEIN, Joy C. Age 75, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at The Hospice of Dayton. Joy was born in Sparta Greece in 1939 and moved to the United States in 1946. She began her career with Top Value, spent several years at Carlson and finally retired from Excellence in Motivation in 2005. She was a longtime member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, served on the Parish Council, sang in the church choir and was a member of the Philoptochos Society. Joy was volunteer at the Victoria Theatre, Schuster Center , and The Hospice of Dayton Pathways of Hope. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Goldstein; sister, Mary Kilavos; and brother, George Pulos. Joy is survived by her brother-in-law, Jim Kilavos; sister-in-law, Becky Pulos; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Dick & Phyllis Goldstein and family; nieces & nephews, Dimitri & Staci Kilavos, Christine Kilavos, Chris & Debbie Pulos, Meta Hoath; great-nieces & great-nephews, Zoe, Aris, Geno, Allie & George; and many other relatives & friends. Funeral service 11:00 AM Thursday, January 15, 2015 at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North with Father Mark P. Emroll officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund in Joy's memory.
