Mack Thomas "Tommy" Irvin Jr. passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, in Boyd. Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Azle First Assembly of God Church. Interment: 9:15 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. Tommy was born April 29, 1948, in Baytown to Mack Thomas Irvin Sr. and Violet Irene McDonald Irvin. He was united in marriage to Debra Brown on Nov. 11, 1972, in Springdale, Ark. Tommy spent 25 years of his life helping addicts, alcoholics and people with trauma as an interventionist. He loved God and was a godly man. He respected others and was an avid animal lover. Tommy was a wonderful husband and a good brother-in-law. If you knew him you were better for it. Survivors: His wife of 42 years, Debra Irvin; and brother-in-law, Billy Bruce Snyder.
