Helen Louise Harper Fox, 84, of Cecilia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Signature HealthCare in Elizabethtown.
She was born July 17, 1930, in Eastview. She was a founding member of Freedom's Way Church in Cecilia and Stephensburg Missionary Baptist Church. She was a former member of Hardin County Farmers Market.
Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jesse Edward Fox; her parents, Alvin and Annie (Klinglesmith) Harper; four brothers, William Floyd Harper, Clarence Harper, Roy Louis Harper and Gabe Earl Harper; and great-granddaughter Adriana Lucas.
Mrs. Fox is survived by six children, Kenneth (Donna) Fox, Janice (Edgar) Puckett, Bobby (Faye) Fox and Marilyn (Thomas) Baker, all of Cecilia, Paul (Barbara) Fox of Radcliff and Joan (Richard) Mizzell of Louisiana. She is survived by her grandchildren, Dale Myers, Katrina Myers, Sharon Brewer, Jeffrey Fox, Gregory Myers, Amy McCabe, Christy Fox, Leandra Grimes, Michael Baker, Crystal Brewer, Brian Fox, Angelique Puckett, Jason Fox, Stephanie Fox, Stacey Miller and Jesse Fox; 29 great-grandchildren and another on the way and two great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters, Rose Peters of Eastview and Dorothy Crump of Hodgenville.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. William Curle officiating.
Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the funeral home in Elizabethtown and resumes at 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
