Harley, Leo His Legacy....Harley, Leo, age 89 of long-time resident of Clarklake fulfilled his wish to pass away at home on January 27, 2015. He was born in North Dakota on August 9, 1925 to William and Mary (Krush) Harley. Leo served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII and was a Graduate and faithful Alum of Michigan State University. He married Betty Fulton in Angola, IN followed by a formal wedding at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Jackson on October 2, 1948 and she survives. He was employed for 60 years as the President of Fulton Radio from which he retired and a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Leo was a life-time member of the Jackson Kiwanis and had received the Hickson Longevity Award in honor of his years of service. He held the record for perfect attendance at Kiwanis for 57 years. A record previously held by his own father-in-law. Leo will be remembered as a man of honor, hard work and love for his wife and family. His Family....In addition to his dear wife of 66 years, Leo is survived by his children: Michael (Jan) Harley, Judi (Tony) Blackmur; grandchildren: Laura, Jenny and Steven Harley, Matthew and Leo Blackmur. He was preceded in death by his son: Mark Harley. His Farewell...Leo's friends and family will gather on Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel. A Memorial Mass for Leo will be on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church with Father Tom Helfich OSFS as Presider. In lieu of flowers, donations may be shared with the Kiwanis Club of Jackson or St. Rita Catholic Church.
