"Lee"
1923 - 2015
LeRoy Woods Jr. was born in Salt Lake City, UT to LeRoy and Wilmeth Hyrum Woods on June 10, 1923. On February 3, 2015, he finally joined his sweetheart, Bonnie, whom he had missed very much since her passing in 2001. Lee lived a long, full, active life. He graduated from Granite High School and then joined the US Air Force and served his country proudly during WWII, He served as a navigator on a B-24 Bomber based in England. Upon his return from the war, Lee enrolled at Idaho State University and married LaVon "Bonnie" Smith. He later went to work for the Steiner Corporation where he was not only a star salesman but the "go-to-guy" for whatever was needed. Lee and Bonnie enjoyed golfing, skiing, fishing, cruises and trips in their RV with grandkids, family and friends. Life was good! He was a gentle, patient man as well as a tease with a gleeful twinkle in his eye. He will be missed.
Lee is survived by a daughter Kae Swegle, son Burt (Yvonne) Woods, grandchildren Scott and Stacy Frandsen, Dennis and Amy Nolan, Brandon and Rochelle (Kevin) Woods-Foss, great grandchildren Ryan, Jaden, Devan Nolan and Carter and Trenten Foss. I was Leroy's Home teacher and neighbor. He was always so nice and hospitable. Proud of his family and his history. I am so glad to know him. What a great Reunion on the other side. Mike Gleason

He was an honorable man. A true sense of the word, Grandpa. We enjoyed doing what we could in helping to take care of him and look after him. It gave us quality time with him every week. We truly miss you. Hugs & Kisses xoxoxo Love you always, Scott & Stacy
