James A. Curley Jr.

James A. Curley Jr., 76, of 2857 10th St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015 following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 2, 1938 in St. Marys, son of James A. Curley Sr. and Mary Martha Conneen Curley.

He married Carla Kesler on Dec. 27, 1961 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and she survives. He resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1956.
Mr. Curley graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1956. He attended St. Bonaventure University for one year and graduated from Akron University.

He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cuyahoga Falls. He was very active in the Charles Foust Post 281 American Legion of Cuyahoga Falls and was Post 14 District Commander American Legion-Chas De Gare 40-8. He also was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.

He was a Vietnam era Army veteran.

He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for 44 years before retiring in 2003.

In addition to his wife at home, he is survived by one daughter, Tammy Curley of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; one son, Michael Curley and his wife Barb of Tallmadge, Ohio; a grandson, Eric Curley; and a granddaughter Erin Curley.

In addition, he is survived by his sister, Mary Hughes and her husband Max of Akron, Ohio.

Mr. Curley was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial for James A. Curley Jr. will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Monday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor.
Interment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, Pa. Sunday evening, Feb. 8 from 6-8 p.m.

Military honors were accorded him in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
