Dick was born Oct. 25, 1929 in Nashville, TN to Walter and Dorothy Langley. After spending his early years in Nashville, he joined the U.S. Navy where he met the love of his life, Clarice. They were married and had two children, Nancee Denise and Russell Alan Langley.
He retired from the Navy in 1970 and went to work for Kaiser from where he retired in 1996.
Dick is survived by Nancee Denise Thompson (John) and Russell (Kim) Langley. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jamie De Rollo (Francis), Shawna Pitassi (J.P.), Rusty Langley (Jenna), Michael Thompson (Tina), Ryan Thompson (Melissa); seven great grandchildren, and brother, Gary of Nashville, TN.
He showed us by example that family was first and foremost, respect was earned and honor was everything. He will be forever in our hearts.
Friends are invited to attend the visitation to be held beginning at 10 a.m., and are also invited to attend the funeral service to be held at 11 a.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, 600 Gregory St., Fairfield, Thursday, Feb. 19.
